NOTES

1. See Carl Oglesby, The Yankee and Cowboy War: Conspiracies from Dallas to Watergate (New York: Sheed Andrews and McMeel, 1976).

2. The best presentation of this argument that I am familiar with is found in Summers, Conspiracy, published by McGraw-Hill in 1980. However, an Amazon search has alerted me to the existence of a subsequent book by Summers, The Kennedy Conspiracy?, published by Warner Books in 1998. To judge from the picture of the cover posted by Amazon, it seems likely that this book is also known as Not in Your Lifetime: The Definitive Book on the JFK Assassination.

3. The Bushite government employees tumbled into office as the result of an extremely anomalous election, one that was probably too finely balanced and dependent on unique alarums and excursions to be micromanaged by the Suits. As for the intellectuals and their panoply of think tanks — all those headache-inducing Centers to Coordinate the Study of American and Israeli Strategic Defense, Councils for the Study of the Coordination of Israeli and American Defense Strategies, and so on ad infinitum, each remorselessly grinding out its own mind-numbing journal — they tend to derive their funding from individual Zionist entrepreneurs, many of whom pursue lines of business somewhat less lofty than investment banking. One major financial angel, for example, seems to be a billionaire bingo-parlor magnate.

4. To be sure many of those New Yorkers were Jewish — but minimizing the sacrifice is the fact they were not Israelis.
